Ernest G. Stoole was born September 19, 1930 in Dublin, Ireland and passed away August 15, 2009 with his wife of forty-three years by his side.
Ernie was raised in Ireland but had a traveler's soul. He immigrated to Canada in 1956. Seeking bluer skies and warmer weather, Ernie then headed south to Brea, California in 1960. It was here where he met and married his beloved wife, Jeanne in 1965. In 1976, they moved to the Arlington, Washington area where they raised their two children, Kevin and Christine.
Ernie was a plumber by trade. He loved his job and was very good at what he did. After fifty-two years of service, he retired in 1995 and though he faced many health challenges in his remaining years, he spent it with those he loved.
Ernie will long be remembered for his hard work, laughter, and love of people.
Ernie was preceded in death by his mother and father, Esther and Alfred Stoole; his brothers, Alfred and James Stoole; and his grandson, Tristan Stoole.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne; his two children, Kevin Stoole, of Woodland Hills, California and Christine Espeland, of Arlington, Washington; son-in-law, Lars Espeland; two granddaughters, Erin and Ella Espeland; and two sisters, Mrs. Lily Humphreys, of Brea, California and Mrs. Jean Hauck, of Anaheim, California.
A Resurrection Mass will held for Ernie at 11 a.m. on Wedensday, August 26, 2009, at St. Cecila's Catholic Church in Stanwood, WA.
