Hey guys, I have a chance to get some free gears from a fellow named Jim Mueller. he is part of the eescc, a racing league(?) from the eugene area.
anyways, I posted an add on craigslist for an h pipe and he responded later that day and asked if i would be interested in a trade for some gears he had...i believe he said he had 3.55 3.73 and 4.10's
Just wanted ya'lls opinion on which would be the best. the car is my daily driver, but i enjoy a violent ride if that means more power/fun or whatever it may be.
he is checking to see if a friend of his would be able to install them for me and will be getting back to me soon...if it turns out that he will do it but wants money, what is a fair price for a gear install?

I'm not really mechanical but way back when I was in high school a buddy had a SS 396 Chevelle with a 410. That bad boy would flat out shiat 'n git!! I remember it was kind of a biatch on the freeways and hard on gas but out of the hole he was hard to beat.

If you don't do a BUNCH of freeway driving you should certainly go with the 4:10's a lot of people say that is one of the best mods for the money because you can really feel the kick in the pants they give the car..I bought 4:10's for my 05 just haven't installed yet.

My freeway driving should be about 4 and a half hours at a time, tops... i love the pull my car has and if i can pump that up, I'm all for it...so far two votes for 4.10s anybody else?
